1937-2018
Peppard, James “Jim” William –
81, Truro, formerly of Great Village, passed away peacefully on
December 28, 2018 at Cederstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Great
Village, he was a son of the late Matthew and Louise (Rose)
Peppard.
Jim was always devoted to his family and leaves behind his
loving wife, Blanche; son, Sterling (Paula) and their children, Matt;
Thomas; Stevi; Jacolbi; son, Jim (Szu) and their children, Hannah;
Tiffany; daughter, Cynthia (Aaron) and their children, Dale; Daniel;
brother, Ken (Dianne); sister, Ruth; sister-in-law, Marie. He was
predeceased by his brother, Jack; sister, Marjorie.
Jim worked all across Canada and was the happiest when he was
in the cab of an eighteen wheeler. He was a long-time member of Saint
James United Church. James would help anyone and all knew he was
a true Newfie at heart.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, January 3, 2018,
at Royal Canadian Legion, Great Village, Reverend Dan Gunn
officiating. Interment in Mahon Cemetery at a later date. Donations
may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have
been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young
