Adams, James J.E. “Bud” – 81, Westchester Station, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in Westchester Station, he was a son of the late Charles and Lillian (Collier) Adams. Bud served in the Armed Forces for 23 years from 1953-1975. He had various postings with United Nations and NATO, including Germany and Egypt. His last posting was in Barrington, where he retired as Sergeant. After retiring, his family moved back to Westchester Station. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 106, Debert for over 30 years. Bud is survived by his wife, Ashlea (Strong); sons, James, Oxford; Anthony (Vicky), Westchester Station; sister, Grace McFetridge, Ottawa; brother, Owen, Westchester Station; grandchildren, Cameron and Josie; step-children, Kevin (Michelle), Caralea (Darryl) and Darlene (Kraig), all of Halifax; step-grandchildren, Tiffany, Alicia, Devyn and Dillin; nieces, Margaret and Kerry. He was predeceased by sister, Virly Adams. Cremation has taken place under the direction of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium (902-447-2930). A private graveside service will take place in Eagle Hill Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to Eagle Hill Cemetery or charity of choice.
