In Loving Memory
WHITWELL, Jack – Peacefully, surrounded by family, Jack passed away at Gilmore Lodge on Monday December 17, 2018 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol (Wodle) Whitwell. Loving father to Todd (Brenda) Whitwell, Becki (Jeff) Falardeau and John (Shannon) Whitwell. Proud Grandpa of Justine Mitchell, Trey Whitwell, Jackson, Avery and Addison Falardeau and Lena and Jack Whitwell. Survived by his siblings June Radford, Sadie Smith, Betty Blance, Tom Whitwell, and Helen Reece. Predeceased by his parents Clara and Frank, and siblings Bill Whitwell, Lorne Whitwell, Windy Whitwell and Mary Young. Jack worked at E.S. Fox for 32 years before starting his own company, Wellco Construction. He had a love of woodworking, fishing, sports and was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge. Jack was a wonderful family man and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. Family and friends will be received at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold) on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 6:00p.m.-9:00p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday morning at 10:00a.m. until the time of the funeral service in the Pleasantview Chapel at 11:00a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Jack may be made to SickKids or SMASH Alzheimer’s. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Gilmore Lodge for the compassionate care they provided.
