Obituary of Ida O’Brien
Ida May O’Brien, age 78, Truro Road, Westville, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her loving family by her side.
Born in New Glasgow, October 25, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Etta (Cotter) Margeson.
Ida was a kind soul who lived life to the fullest bringing many memories to all who knew her. She liked daily visits to meet her friends at Tim’s. She enjoyed dancing , bingo, her walks with her sisters; going to the beach and most of all her visits with her grand children and great grand children.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 57 years James; son Jamie (Janice), New Glasgow; grandchildren Candace (Jesse MacLean), Westville; Amy Canning, New Glasgow; great-grandchildren, Aidan and Liam MacLean; Elizabeth and Christopher Canning; god daughter Ruthanna O’Brien; brother Ted Margeson (Ann), Kings Head; Reg Margeson (Reolla), Kingston, NS; Lew Margeson (Kathy), New Maryland, NB; brothers-in-law, Colin O’Brien (Sandra), Westville; Allan O’Brien (Cindy), Westville; sisters in law, Dorothy Margeson, Calgary and Barb Margeson, New Glasgow; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Jean MacKinnon (Danny), Adeline Smith; brothers, Doug Margeson, Ross Margeson (Marie), and Richard Margeson; brothers-in-law, Thomas and Bill O’Brien and sister-in-law Patricia Fitt.
Ida is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday. There will be no funeral service. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Thanks to the Aberdeen Hospital for the special care given to Ida. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
