Obituary for Mr. Ian Cassells
Mr. Ian Cassells (May 18, 1940 – February 17, 2018) 77 years old.
On February 17, 2018 dad passed with family by his side at the Rouge Valley Hospital.
Since his initial stroke in 2014 he had several hospital stays and a near death experience with Sepsis (2014) of which he remained strong, pulled through and continued his zest for life.
He is survived by his 8 children(Dwayne, Denise, Suzette, Devon, Lisa, Marja, Eustace (Oneil) and Renae Cassells; 12 grandchildren (Khrysan, Delana, Lashaun, Oneil(OJ), Tahner, Khaylee, Shea, Deann, Deja, Kyle, Antonio and Rayna; and 3 brothers ( Rutland, Astley and Gillan Cassells).
Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at:
1. Cornwall Regional Hospital
2. Broward Health North
3. Scarborough Rouge Physiotherapy
4. The Scarborough General Hospital
5. The Buffalo General Hospital
6. Gowanda Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
7. Rouge Valley Hospital
all of which assisted in his care since his initial stroke in 2014.
Also extending thank you to family and friends for their encouragement, thoughts and well wishes over the years.
Special thank you to Cloville Cassells( ex spouse), Christopher Burey (son-in-law), Shellyann Waite(relative), Willhael Mitchell(niece-Elaine), Pauline Wilson(friend) and Rosemarie Lee-Brown(friend-Tiny) who have provided direct support and care during his final years.
As he requested, he will be cremated. A memorial service will follow in Jamaica at a later date.
