At the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 Howard
Colin Murray, Meadowbank, in his 87th year, passed away peacefully
with his wife of 60 years and his daughter by his side to be reunited
with those gone before him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, the love of his life, his
beloved wife Florence Alice MacLure, his children Margaret (Darryl) of
Winnipeg, MN and Arthur (Sharon) of Crampton, ON; his cherished
grandsons Brookes (Jessica), Deryk (Erin), Brendon (Laura), Kyle
(Amber) and Lyndon (Shaya) all of Ontario; his four great-grandsons
Connor, Walker, Presleigh and Brody and three great-granddaughters
Haidyn, Kennedy and Ellie. Also remembered by his niece Anne, nephews
Richard, Robert, David, Stewart, Bradley and numerous cousins
throughout Canada and the United States; by his brother-in-law Errol
MacLure (Mary) of Dover, PEI. He was predeceased by his parents Colin
and Charlotte (Drake) Murray, brother Orville (Ida and Ellen) and
uncle Richard Drake.
Howard was a life-long resident of Meadowbank, PEI, a farmer and
tourist home operator until his retirement. He was a faithful
neighbor and uncle, who was always ready to lend a helping hand to
those in need. He was also a long time member of the Trinity United
Church where he served as an elder, as a member of the Men’s
Club and on numerous boards.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held
in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Interment later in
Cornwall United Church Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 11:30 a.m. to
12:45 p.m.
