Allen, Howard
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Howard Allen.
After a short battle with cancer, Howard passed away peacefully at his home in Larder Lake, Ontario.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Sharon (née Turner). His children Sandra (Paul ), Shawn (Tracey), Robert (Natalie), Steven (Caroline), and Derek (Yvonne). His 11 cherished grandchildren: Kyle (Julie), Jamie (Eric), Jordan (Shannon), Taylor (Aaron), Brittany, Tanner (Leah), Jagger, Alexis, Danielle, Hunter and Kenadie. And 4 great-grandchildren: Rowan, Asher, Parker and Abel.
Predeceased by his parents Philip and Myrtle, brothers Meryl and Donald and sister in laws Rosaline and Gisele.
He is survived by his siblings, Sally (Archie), Elmer, Phyllis (Ken), Brian, Garry, Connie (Tom) and Rick (Lise) and sister in law Alice.
Over the 58 years of living in Larder Lake, Howard was an active participant in the Larder Lake Fire Department, Snowmobile Club and Curling Club. He worked as a supervisor of the works department for the Township of Larder Lake for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino and was a faithful fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, CNN and the Weather Network. But most of all Howard will be remembered as a man who best enjoyed time with his family.
