Hendrikus (Hank) Kraan
KRAAN, Hendrikus (Hank) (Retiree of General Motors) – at the age of 84 years and while surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Shea) for 58 years. Cherished father of Colleen (Dan) Thordarson, Karen (Bill) Lamont and Kevin (Leanne) Kraan. Predeceased by his son Shawn. Loving grandfather (Pa) of Courtney (Nick), Brittany, Chad, Bethany (Jordan), Bryson and Emarson and great grandfather of Henry. Hank will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters and their families and by the Shea family. Hank enjoyed working at the golf course and playing cards at the Union Hall and he will be missed by the many friends he had there. Hank lived life his way and enjoyed it. His General Motors stories will be missed. In keeping with Hank’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205) on Monday, June 18 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial from ST. MARY’S CHURCH, Lindsay at 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery and a reception to be held at St. Mary’s School Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Santa Claus Stocking Fund would be appreciated. Online condolences may be directed to www.stoddartfuneralhome.com
