Helen Butterfield (nee Koziar)
On August 31, 2018, Mrs. Helen Butterfield of Whitecourt, AB, passed away at the age of 77 years.
Helen will be forever loved and remembered by her son, Michael; and “adopted” daughters Milly (Darin), Trudey (Darren) and their families, as well as many dear friends. Predeceased by her parents, Alex and Maria.
Helen is remembered as an exceptional mother to Michael. She was a wonderful educator throughout her life and will also be remembered for being a great friend, reader and baker. Helen enjoyed having coffee with her many friends and activities at the Whitecourt Seniors Circle.
Thank you to the doctors and staff of the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre, emergency responders, R.C.M.P., and Eagle Tower Victim Services for their care and support.
Celebration of Life Friday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitecourt Seniors Circle, 5212 – 50 Street, Whitecourt. Reverend Rita Milne officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Whitecourt Cemetery.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made directly to STARS – Alberta Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society, Suite #100, 1519 – 35 Avenue East, Edmonton International Airport, AB, T9E 0V6, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut, Suite 144, 5241 Calgary Trail N.W., Edmonton, AB, T6H 5G8.
