Helen McKay Coull
February 18, 1927 – July 4, 2018
Helen passed peacefully at Hospice Prince Edward on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Helen Coull emigrated to Orillia, Ontario from Edinburgh, Scotland in 1957 where she lived and worked until she moved to Daytona Beach with her beloved late husband Alex in 1969. Helen moved to Canada to be closer to her family and continued to winter in Florida. Cherished mother of John and his wife Moira of Cherry Valley and the late Helen Cornelisse and mother-in-law of Adrien Cornelisse of Leamington, ON. Loved grandma of Shannon (Greg), Kristen, Nathaniel and Allison and great-grandma of Allister, Owen, Darian, Jack and step-grandma of Brianna & Becca. Dear sister of Mary, John, Ina, Isa, Helen and, the late, Nan and Archie. Helen served as an occupational therapist in Orillia, owned and operated the Breezeway Motel and St. Regis Inn in Daytona Beach, FL and managed the Queen City Yacht Club in Toronto. A Celebration of Helen’s life will be held at the Prince Edward Yacht Club, 30 Fairfield Street, Picton on Sunday, July 8 from 2pm-5pm. If desired, donations to Hospice Prince Edward or the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
