On Sunday, November 4th, 2018 in her 91st year, Heather passed away peacefully but suddenly at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. She is predeceased by her husband Robert (2014) and survived by her children; Christopher (Debra Pollock) of New Liskeard, Ruth McDonald (Murray) of Elliot Lake, Harold (Marion André) of Ottawa and Mary Taylor (Blair) of Kingston. She was a proud grandmother of Isaac (Emma Krasnozen), Sam, Emily (Brendan Janssen) Blount, Christina MacPherson (Dan Brennan) of Calgary, Anne (Dean O’Hare), Duncan, Elizabeth (Mike Chou) McDonald, Jennifer and Rob Taylor and 7 great grandchildren. Heather was passionate about children. She was always knitting for a grandchild or great-grandchild and eager to share stories and pictures with all. Heather had a great love of opera, classical music, books (murder mysteries!), bridge, the cottage and her beloved white pine trees! She also loved a good math problem and meticulously balanced her cheque book by hand until the very end! As organizer of the bridge and book clubs, baker of cookies and dear good friend to all, she will be sadly missed. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 360 Reid Street, Peterborough Ontario. The family wishes to thank caregivers at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre and VON Peterborough for their excellent care and compassion.
