Obituary of Hazel (Bezanson) Beckwith
Age 93, of Hantsport, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Bishopville, she was a daughter of the late Seymour and Nina Bezanson.
Hazel worked in a one room school house in Kings County as a teacher. She was also a member of the Lockhartville Women’s Institute.
She is survived by daughter, Glenda (Robert) Braham; grandson, James (Sandra); foster son, Garnet Lorencovitch.
Besides her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her husband, James William Beckwith (August 16, 1983); sisters, Margaret and Eva and twin sisters, Melinda and Emma.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317), where visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Hazel’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 29 in the DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
