It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel June Verona Fuerst (nee Dreger), at her home in Bashaw at the age of 78.
She is survived by her loving husband John; daughter Cathy Ramsden; grandson Jordan (Vanna) Ramsden; granddaughter Sara (Steve) Emmonds; and great-grandchildren Jade, Billie, Cruze, Jack and Hendrix. Hazel is also survived by her brothers Raymond (Dale) Dreger and Donald (Barb) Dreger; sisters Ruth (Don) Rathje, Michelle (George) Kennedy, Sandra (Jim) Klinger and Norma Heartberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Verona Dreger; sister Waverley Dow; brother Walt Dreger; John’s parents, Henry and Ella Fuerst; brother-in-law Reford Fuerst; and sister-in-law Lois Fuerst.
Flowers may be sent, if so desired, directly to the Ponoka Funeral Home. Hazel was particularly fond of Flowers at Fred & Pat’s, located in Bashaw, 780-372-2257. Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Hazel’s life will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
