Harris Melbourne Steadman – 84, of Berwick, Kings County,
passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Grand View Manor,
Berwick. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Clayton and Bernice
(Joudrey) Steadman. He served 30 years with the Canadian Armed Forces
and was a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch No.
69, Berwick. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cards, darts and
curling. He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Keddy, Berwick; two
sisters, Corinne (Albert) McNabb, Berwick and Angelene Muir, Berwick;
a brother, Mervin (Ann), Centreville; two grandchildren, Nicole (Kyle)
Harry, Round Hill and Jesse Keddy (Kayla Bruce), Waterville; three
great granddaughters, Mazie, Oaklyn and Jersey; nieces and nephews. He
was predeceased by his wife, Marion (Greeno) and a son, Ronald.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by
request. A combined Royal Canadian Legion and funeral service will be
held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Christ Anglican
Church, Berwick, Reverend Mel Malton officiating. A private family
burial will take place in the Berwick Cemetery. A reception will
follow in the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch No. 69, Berwick.
Donations in memory may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona
Branch No. 69 Poppy Fund or to a charity of your choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
