Harold Frederick Devoe
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Fredrick Devoe on Friday, November 30th at Northwood in Halifax, NS.
Born on March 30, 1929 in Alder Point, NS to Harold Sr. and Lottie Devoe, Harold was lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel and live in Watson Lake, Yukon Territory. Harold and his wife Marie Devoe (nee Dugas) had seven children before settling into the beautiful area of Groves Point, Cape Breton.
Harold is survived by his children; Brenda Splatt, Joanne Fahey, Al Devoe, Colleen Devoe, Cindy Bateman, and
Calvin Devoe.
Predeceased by his wife Marie Devoe (nee Dugas) and his oldest son Wade Devoe.
A special thanks go out to the staff, especially Tricia, at Northwood who cared for him in his final days.
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish Church in Little Bras d’Or.

  1. I spent many of weekend at My Uncle Herald,s home on the hill overlooking what could only be referred to as Gods country.
    I spent so much of my childhood hanging with the family and having fun.
    He always made me feel like part of the family,you all did.
