ROPPELT, Hans
September 17, 1922 – November 20, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. Hans Roppelt at the age of 96 years.
Hans will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his three sons; Gerald (Jana), Michael (Lynn), and Gregory (Tiffani), daughter-in-law, Karen, thirteen grandchildren; Brian (Jill), Jennifer, Laurel (Trevor), Tyler, Sydney, Shawn (Erica), Deedra, Mackenzie, Adam, Cody, Courtney, Kiersten, and Piper, five great grandchildren; Casey, Addison, Callie, Ashlyn, and Quinn. He is also survived by his brother Fritz and his two sisters Anna and Elsa, as well as many extended family in Germany and the United States.
Hans was predeceased by his wife Hannelore also on November 20 of 2017
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the South Side Memorial Chapel, 8310 104 Street, Edmonton,
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so prior to the service, between 11:00 and 12:00.
Hans will be laid to rest with Hannelore at the Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Sherwood Park.
Donations in Hans’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
