H. James Aucoin
January 4, 1945 – December 7, 2018

The passing of H. James Aucoin (“Jim”), husband of Linda (Hamilton) Aucoin, occurred on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 4, 1945 in Campbellton, NB, he was the son of the late Cecil S. and Virginia (Kierstead) Aucoin. Jim was a retired teacher and was District Governor for District N-1 with the Lions Clubs International. Also, Jim was an International Volleyball Referee, and was involved with the Knights of Columbus, Canadian Red Cross, the Diabetes Association, CNIB, and the New Democratic Party.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his children, David Aucoin (Joanne) of Red Lake, ON, Diane Nowlan (Marla Pantaleo) of Clifton Royal, NB, and Katie Wright (Mary Kathryn Arnold) of Halifax, NS; granddaughter, Tabatha Nelson; great grandchildren, Allyssa, Ayden and Lily; siblings, Cheryl Negus (Vic) of Darnley, PEI, Cecil D. Aucoin (June) of Fredericton, NB, Jackie Pinchbeck (John) of Edmonton, AB, Margaret Byers (Ian, deceased) of Huntsville, ON, Susan Davis (Salime) of Toronto, ON, Eileen Aucoin of Edmonton, AB, Doreen Lawlor (Brian) of Dalhousie, NB, and Pamela Foster (Philip) of Brandon, MB; many nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his brother Dennis Aucoin (Heather Meikle).

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Nashwaaksis Lions Club, 37 Route 148, Killarney Rd., NB on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 2 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Nashwaaksis Lions Club. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
