Obituary of Gweneth Romig
ROMIG, Gweneth May (nee Cooper) – Passed away peacefully at Pleasant Meadow Manor, Norwood, with her husband by her side, on Saturday November 17, 2018. Gwen of Peterborough in her 89th year.
Beloved wife of John Romig for 66 years. Loving mother of Susan Gwilliam (Percy), Peggy Harder (John) and Paul Romig (Linda). Dear grandmother of Christine (Curtis), Scott (Taylor), Stephanie (Jacob), Mitchell (Alex), Andrew and Ryan. Proud great grandmother of Colton, Caelyn and Olivia. Daughter of the late Jack and Mae Cooper. Dear sister of Len Cooper (Mary). Gwen will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.
Retired Audiology Technician from Dr. Sewchand’s office. A long-time member of St. Alban’s Anglican Church where she was involved singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and more. Gwen was a sports fan, avidly watching hockey (Go Leafs), football (Go Argos), tennis and curling. Most of all, Mom was big on making any event a family event, whether it’s a birthday, a holiday or a weekly cup of coffee.
Visiting will be held at the Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 840 Armour Road, on Thursday, November 22, from 10-11 am with a funeral service at 11 am. A reception will follow the service, and then interment at Little Lake Cemetery is planned.
