Obituary of Guy Doucette
Peacefully at home on Monday November 19th at the age of 82, Guy went to meet our Lord. Loving husband of 64 years, Jean (nee Tucker). Proud father of Gary (d.Barbara), Denise Hartwick (Christopher), Daryl (Sally), and predeceased by four infants. Loving Grandfather of (d.)Tim Hartwick, Guy Doucette (Caitlin), Margaret (Ryan), and Shelly Gonder. Loving Great-grandfather of Ryder, and Charlie. Dear brother of Joyce Walsh (d. John), (d.)Bernice Bull (Charles), (d.)Donald (d. Sandra), Jacques Malloy (Gerald), Gail O’ Sullivan (Ron), (d.)Vernon (Norma), Wayne, Lenard (d.Lynn), Lynn, and Doreen. Dear brother-in-law of William Tucker (Marg), and Ronald Tucker. Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Vincent and Edith Doucette, and special mother-in-law Bernice Sparkes. He was a carpenter by trade, loved to make furniture and other items, especially for church. Fishing and hunting were among his interests.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 22, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00- 9:00 p.m. at Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre (840 Armour Road, Peterborough). A funeral mass will take place at Immaculate Conception (386 Rogers Street, Peterborough.) on Friday November 23rd, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Final resting place at Highland Park Cemetery with Reception to follow at the church.
