Obituary of Gregory Keeping
KEEPING, Gregory
Age 91 of Corner Brook, Newfoundland passed away on Wednesday, November 28 at his home in Falmouth, Nova Scotia.
Gregory was born in Turnip Cove, Fortune Bay Newfoundland to Meta and William Keeping on October 17, 1927. He worked as a Mechanic at the former Corner Brook Garage until he retired in 1989. He enjoyed boats, fishing, music and spending time with his family and friends.
Gregory is survived by his wife of 68 years, Meda; his children, Dianne Wright, Linda (Rodney) Pennell, and William Keeping. He is also survived by his brother, John Keeping; sisters, Rhoda Taylor and Ruth McNeil; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the first responders, volunteer fire department, paramedics and the RCMP Officers, all from Windsor, Nova Scotia for their kindness and compassion at a very emotional time.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A joint celebration of life and interment will be held in the future at the time of his wife’s passing. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gregory may be made to The Salvation Army Kentville Community Church, 15 Nichols Ave., PO Box 726, Kentville, NS B4N 3X9.
