Gregory MacPherson Boyd
1928-2018
Gregory Boyd, 90, beloved husband of Elizabeth, passed away
peacefully surrounded by family at The Moncton Hospital on June 25,
2018. Born in Canso, NS., he was the only son of the late Cecil Otis
and Flora (MacPherson) Boyd.
Greg attended Dalhousie University. He retired many years ago
as Sales Manager for Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick for Moore
Business Forms. An active community volunteer, Greg was past Chair of
the Riverview Library Board and the Albert Westmorland Kent Regional
Library. He was a past President and member of several other Community
Service Organizations. A proud father and grandfather, he attended
countless school concerts, sporting events, tournaments and dance
recitals.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth,
and by his children Cynthia (Peter), Colin (Valerie), Robert (Karen)
and Patricia (Michael). Grandchildren Alex, Connor, Kyle, Madisen,
Griffin, Peter, Patrick, Allison and Nicholas, his sister Moira
Ingarfield and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Greg
was predeceased by his sister Alfreda.
A sincere thank you to Dr. Al Munroe, Dr. Manon Belliveau and
the nurses of 5100 and the Palliative Care Unit for their kind and
compassionate care. A special thank you to neighbours Ed, Dot and Mike
for their friendship.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview (869-2007). In keeping with Greg’s wishes, there
will be no visitation. A funeral service will take place at Holy
Family Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 2:30pm with
Father Charles Broderick officiating. If desired, memorials can be
made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or the Canadian
