OBITUARY
Gregory Francis Carter
March 12, 1924 – December 15, 2018
Gregory Francis Carter of Duncan, BC, died peacefully at home after a brief illness on December 15, 2018.
Greg was born on March 12, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario to Joseph and Olive Carter and was predeceased in death by his parents and his brother Joe.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Erika, his son Joe (Brenda), daughter Judy, grandchildren Mathew and Courtney, great grandson Benjamin and sister Margaret.
Greg was a lifelong athlete beginning with hockey where he excelled at St. Michael’s College in Toronto. He also played tennis and was President of the South Cowichan Lawn Tennis Club for four years in the early 1990’s, and he golfed at the Cowichan Golf Club where he was a playing member from 1988 to 2018.
A special thank you to the most wonderful friends and neighbours for their loving support and kindness, to Dr. Val Masuda and her team of nurses and homecare for their caring and understanding and Cowichan Hospice for their services. And a huge thank you to Dr. Vivan Kilvert for her compassion and concern about both of us.
At Greg’s request there will be no funeral service.
