Another angel has gone to Heaven to watch over us. It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Gordon after a courageous battle with liver cancer.
Gordon was born in Anyox, BC to Norman and Olive Redman. With Olive passing away during child birth, Gordon was looked after by an aunt until Norman remarried (Veeda). The family moved to Salmon Arm and another 2 children were born. Gordon took all his schooling in Salmon Arm.
Gordon is survived by his partner Faye, two daughters: Heather (Rick) Drydyk of Grindrod and Bonnie Redman of Kelowna; four granddaughters: Carly (Clifton) Van Boven of Calgary, Melissa Drydyk of Sedgewick, AB, Kirsten Drydyk of Innisfail, AB, and Erin at home; sister Margaret Redman of Salmon Arm, nine step children, 12 step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, the mother of his daughters: Diane Redman of Salmon Arm, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Olive, father Norman, step-mother Veeda, brother Graham and second wife Ellen.
No flowers by request of the family – donations to B.C. Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Society or Hospice House. A service will be held at the Armstrong Bible Chapel on September 22, 2018 at 11:00a.m. with a private family interment in the columbarium at Armstrong/Spallumcheen Cemetery.
