Gordon Eric Colpitts
1935-2018
Gordon Eric Colpitts, 83 of Salisbury and formerly
of Colpitts Settlement passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at the
Moncton Hospital.
Born in Colpitts Settlement, he was the son of the
late Sanford and Mabel (Leeman) Colpitts. Gordon was a
graduate of the former Salisbury Regional High School, a member of the
former Colpitts United Church and a retired Engineering Clerk with
CNR. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and especially time
spent with his grandchildren. Gordon loved a good joke and
Albert County excursions.
He is survived and sadly missed by his beloved
wife of 58 years Joan (Lowerison); daughter Patti Lee Coates (Terry)
and daughter-in-law Connie Campbell; grandchildren Tera, Jenna, Jake
and Eric; two great grandchildren Madison and Jace; sisters Irene
Horton of Moncton, Joan Colpitts of Fredericton and Marilyn Grewe of
London, ON and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
his son Boyd and sisters Ruth Hopper and Lila McKeil.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106
(372-4800) with visiting Tuesday, January 1 from 6 to 8 pm and from
where the funeral will be held Wednesday, January 2 at 11 am with Rev.
Dan Compton officiating. Interment at Colpitts Community
Cemetery.
If desired, donations to the Helping Hands Food
Bank, Salisbury or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the
family.
