Marzetti, Gloria Bernice ( Gardiner ) ( nee Hicks )
September 27, 1933 – October 2, 2018
Peacefully at Sault Area Hospital after a brief illness. Gloria was the daughter of the late Elvin and Milicent Hicks and sister to Elva Armstrong ( late Orville ), Freda Strawbridge ( Bill ), Norma Discher ( late Jack ), Edna West ( late Mel ) and the late Vina Walker ( late Calvert ), Bert Hicks ( Barbara ), Joyce Spencer ( late Lymon ), Lily Ritchie ( late Wilfred ) and Ervin Hicks ( Iris ). Gloria married Lester Gardiner and they had six children; Laura Hernden, Pat ( Anne ), Brian ( Micheline ), Scot ( Bob Crane ), Cheryl Bondarenko ( Barry ) and Marcia ( Tom Steepe ). Over the years she maintained relationships and a great affection for the Gardiner family. Special mother-in-law of Charles Hernden. Special Grandma to Lily Barlow ( Tim ) and Aubrey Smith and special Great Grandmother to Jordan Barlow. Grandmother of Candace Withers ( Brian ), Kerrie De Poli ( Chester Jr ), Jason Gardiner, Rebecca Bondarenko ( Shaun Coultis ), Robert Gardiner, Jon Bondarenko and Rachel Bondarenko. Great Grandmother to Gage, Jake and Grace Coultis, Hunter Gardiner and Isaac Withers. Gloria was a great cook and incredibly handy. She enjoyed a number of hobbies and excelled at them all. Later in life she married the late Albert Marzetti and was warmly welcomed into his family. The family appreciates the life long care Gloria received from Dr Poitevin and the recent compassion shown by the nursing team in 3A and 3B as well as Dr Bowen and Dr Kargbo. Friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon on Saturday October 6, 2018 from 11am until time of Celebration of Life at 1pm.
