It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Glendon Bertel Ljungstrom Q.C. at his home on Dec 28, 2018. Bert was born in Gothenburg Sweden Feb. 22, 1946 to Sea Captain Gosta Bertel Ljungstrom and Saint John native Dorothy Ljungstrom (Allan). Bert is survived by his son Bert Ljungstrom Jr. (Jennifer) of Ottawa and daughter Alexandra Sullivan (Charles), and 6 six grandchildren, Gregor, Davis and Kiefer Sullivan and Ainsley, Parker and Benjamin Ljungstrom. He was sadly pre-deceased by his grandson Matthew Sullivan.
Bert was a well known lawyer for many years and active in his community over his years with the Lions Club, and Carleton Union Masonic Lodge. Bert was an avid photographer, sailor, audiophile, traveler and storyteller. He enjoyed as much time as possible at the cottage in Pleasant Villa with friends and family.
There will be no visitation or service in keeping with Bert’s wishes. Please make a donation to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
