Gladys Margaret Taylor Beattie 2018

Obituary for Gladys Margaret Taylor (Beattie)
Gladys Margaret Taylor (1925-2018) left this world, Sunday evening, December 30, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband of 70 years, Mel Taylor and her family. Gladys leaves her children, Brent (DeVonna), Dale (Kathy) and Shelley. She was Grandma to four adult grandchildren, Justin, Drew, Nick, Holly and ‘GiGi’ to seven Great-Grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ellery, Marc, Justin, Jeremy, Lola and Hadley as well as many extended family.
Gladys lived in Huntsville with her husband, Mel for the last 50 years, first owning Canadian Tire then the IGA both of which were in the Brendale Plaza.
The family sincerely thanks Dr Melanie Mar for her visits and attentive concern. Thank you to Janice Blakelock for providing many years of personal care. The family deeply appreciates the considerate PSW workers and kind-hearted nurses all coming into the house and making a difference with their TLC, many going above and beyond in their compassion and understanding.
Viewing and funeral service is at Faith Baptist (169 W Rd, Huntsville, ON P1H 1M7) with a reception immediately to follow. In lieu of flowers her family requests donations to Compassion Canada (www.compassion.ca) or The Table Soup Kitchen (thetablefoundation.ca), both charities supported by Gladys.
