1930-2018
Gladys J. Connor of Howland Ridge, NB passed away peacefully at her
home on January 5, 2018. Gladys was born at Cloverdale, NB in 1930, a
daughter of the late James and Mary (Briggs) Flemming.
Gladys enjoyed flowers, watching birds out her window and playing
scratch and pull tab lottery tickets. She loved company and the
highlight of her day was when family and friends stopped by.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Lagacy (Emilien), Howland
Ridge, NB, Brenda Foster, Johnsville, NB, Mary Cormier, Richmond
Corner, NB, Charles Connor (Valerie), Fredericton, NB, Robert Connor
(Phyllis), Kenneth Connor (Rosalie), both of Howland Ridge, NB, Dorcas
Price (Garry), Prince George, BC, Myrtle Corey (Neil), Howland Ridge,
NB and Jeffery Connor, Prince George, BC; several grandchildren and
great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Gilbert (Melrose), Zealand,
NB and Irma Flemming, Fredericton, NB; two brothers, Bradford
(Donnalene) and Ward Flemming (Dora), both of Fredericton, NB; several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert
J. Connor in 2007; a son-in-law, Jerry Cormier and a sister, Gail
Smith.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 12 noon until 2
pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel
with Rev. Allan Myshrall officiating. A reception will follow in the
funeral home dining room. Interment will be at a later date at
Hawkins Corner Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Gladys, the family
has suggested the Hawkins Corner Cemetery.
