Martin, Gisèle (nee Leblanc) – It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Gisèle Martin (nee Leblanc) on Thursday December 27, 2018 at the age of 90, surrounded by her devoted family.
She was predeceased by her husband Fernand Martin, her children Fernand, Dwight and Suzanne (Claude Lalande) and her sister Jeannine Ayotte.
Loving mother of Karen Martin of Ottawa, Deborah Bernardi (Maurice) of North Bay and David Martin (Barbara Montague) of Cambridge. Cherished Mémère to Christopher, Karen, Craig, Matthew, David, Alexandra, Jonathan, Andrew and Taylor as well as to her three great grandchildren – Anthony, Thomas and Lorelai. Survived by her sister Paulette Coté (late Leonard). She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for 25 years. Her positive outlook on life left a lasting impression on those who came to know her.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Arthritis Society will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Sunday December 30th from 2 until 4 pm and 7 until 9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday December 31st at St Peter the Apostle Church at 10 am.
