Obituary of Ginny Wentzell
WENTZELL, Ginny Alice Pauline – Age 63, Scarsdale, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater with her loving family by her side.
Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth and Gwen (Nickerson) Nickerson.
Ginny loved to collect antique dishes; she was an avid baker having worked at the Hubbards and Lunenburg Farm Markets for over 16 years. She was a bank teller for over 22 years with the Bank of Commerce. She served as a 4H leader for many years. She was a loving, caring and supportive mother and grandmother and demonstrated this with her crafts and her love of gift-giving to each of them.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Robby George Wentzell; daughters, Amy-Jean Wentzell, Bridgewater; Kimberlee (Adam) Jay, Mt. Stewart, PE; grandchildren, Emma-Jean, Gracie, Zachary, Anna, Caleb, Mary, Leah and Isaac; sister, Debbie Nickerson (Jim Hurlbert), Pleasant Valley; brother, Greg (Diane) Nickerson, Okotoks, AB; sister-in-law, Margaret Nickerson, Wolfville and many nieces and a nephew.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Kiel; brother, Douglas.
A celebration of Ginny’s life will take place from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, November 29 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 highway 10, New Germany. A private family interment will take place in Barss Corner Community Cemetery, Barss Corner. Family flowers only please, donations may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital or Victorian Order of Nurses – Lunenburg branch.
