Obituary of Gilvey Langdon
On August 28, 2018, Gilvey Clayton Langdon, passed peacefully away at his residence with his wife and daughter by his side,
Gilvey retired from Abitibi due to sickness in 2001. He enjoyed berry picking, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at the cabin with his buddy Jim. His children and grandchildren were his everything. He fought his battle with cancer for two years and seven months with his wife and daughter with him all the way.
He was predeceased by his son Jason; his father Morley and parents-in-law Hardy and Eva Pollard. He leaves to mourn his wife Marilyn; son Ivan (Theresa); daughter Lori (Duke); grandsons Jason, Brayden, Kolgan; mother Grace; special friend Jim Lyver; brothers Bob (Carol), Nelson (Colleen), Rick (Cindy), Brad (Lynette), Dave (Brenda), Terry (Debbie); sisters Sandra (Jim), Marilyn (Bob), Glenda, Lisa (Trevor); brothers-in-law Gary (Marg), Wilmore (Hilda), Norm (Lois), Brian (Sheila), Nelson (Cathy), Ozzy; sisters-in-law Linda, Maxine (Derrick), Madonna (Roger), Pansy, Patsy (Joey), Brenda (Claude); 31 nieces and nephews and a large circle of other family and friends. Pastor Edwin White will conduct the funeral service from Jubilee Pentecostal Temple, Botwood on Friday, August 29, 2018. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood. Pallbearers will be Brad, Nelson, Rick Langdon, Duke Edison. Honorary pallbearer will be Lori Langdon.
