Obituary for
Gigino Sacco
Gigino Sacco, was born in Scigiliano, Cosenza Italy. He married his wife Vanda in 1954 and immigrated to McBride, BC in the early 1960’s. He worked for a pulp mill and then went on to work for The City of Vancouver in 1973. In his spare time his garden was his greatest passion. He loved accordion playing and was a great story teller of yester years. His family paid tribute to him, “Gigino was a devoted husband and father, one of the kindest people you could ever meet, he was gentle and loving. We will miss him dearly.” He is survived by his 5 children Carolina (Bev), Michele (Fortunata), Amina, Maria Lina (Larry), Robert (Tsukasa), ten grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Visitation will be held from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC. Condolences may be offered at www.bellbunaby.com.
