Passed away in his 77th year, peacefully with loving family by his side on April 2, 2018. Born in Montallegro, Sicily on February 27, 1941. Predeceased by loving parents Leonardo & Marta Miceli. Devoted husband of Carolina (Galletto) with whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Cherished Papa of Leonardo “Dino”(Anna Maria), Giovanni “John” (Rita), Martino, Vincenzo, Josie (Joe) Piazza and Rosangela “Rosa” (fiancé Ryan Tufts) and Bailey. Treasured Nonno of Giacinto “Jesse”, Matteo, Daniel, Caroline, Lauren, Giacinto “Giaci”, Maria, Carolina, Lorelle, Santino, Christian and Mia. Dear brother of the late Ignazio, the late Pietro, Domenico, Giovanna (Gasparo) and the late Giuseppe. Dear brother-in-law of Salvatore (Leonarda) Galletto and Alfonso (Maria) Galletto all of Sicily. Dearest Zio of Martha, Mimmo, Carmela, Leo and Marta and many more nieces and nephews whom he loved as his own. Giacinto was proudest of his family, his heritage and his prized gardens. He loved spending many hours tending to his garden and his greenhouse filled with figs. He was an exceptional hunter and enjoyed spending time with his sons in the field. Giacinto was lovingly cared for by his wife Carolina and son Martino at home for his last five years. If you so desire donations to Autism Ontario would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Thursday 8:45a.m. from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
