Life Legacy
SCHULTZ, Germaine ‘Jerri’ (nee Thibodeau) – The world has lost a very colourful person. Surrounded by family and friends at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, on June 30, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Douglas SCHULTZ (May 7, 2008). Dear sister of Jackie Ehert (Bill), sister-in-law to Elizabeth Dunham, and survived by several nieces and nephews. Special friend to Elena Patterson and her family, and the Kane family. Jerri was predeceased by her sisters Berthe Savoie, Simone Stewart (Lloyd), Eileen Cournoyea (Vince) and brothers Mike (Jenny), Ted, and Peter (Rose), and brothers–in law Earl, Weldon, Herbert, and Franklin. Sisters-in-law Doris (Hugh) Pyke and Margaret (Jim) Royce. Born in Kapuskasing, Jerri was a spirited soul who loved to play cards with friends, and was well known around the community for wearing matching “themed” home-made outfits (including pantsuits, tams and purses) for every occasion from cards to Nascar. Special thank you to Brianna, Leslie and Kathy, along with the exceptional health care staff at the GNGH (Angela, Lucie & team) for your compassion and support during Jerri’s final hours, and to Ed, Ruthanne and staff at Patterson Funeral Home for your extraordinary care and professionalism. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Patterson Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place. Private interment of cremated remains will be held at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens at a later date.
