Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, at the Brockville General Hospital; Garden Street Site on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Gerard (Jerry) Hermer, at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Blackburn). Dear father of Bernadette Bradley (Murray), Robert J. Major, Jackie Northrup, Brett Latimer and Bernard Hermer (Lily and their daughter Soula). Survived by his grandchildren Brittany and Emily. Papa to Paisley, brother of Vernon (Mickey) Hermer and his wife Debbie, and brother-in-law of Martin Sweeney. Also survived by his niece Tricia Campo (Kenny). Great uncle to Leelan and Aria. Special cousin to Ernie Hermer (Fran). Predeceased by his first wife Louise (nee Sweeney) as well as by his parents Madeline and William Hermer.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, 160 Dibble Street, Prescott, on Tuesday, March 20th at 10:30 am followed by interment and a reception at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation; Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
