OBITUARY
Geraldine Frances Gray
November 28, 1943 – July 6, 2018
Gray, (Barrett)(Franey) Geraldine Frances, 74 of Eastern Passage passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in England to the parents of the late Thomas and Ellen Franey who migrated to Ontario in the early 1900’s. Gerri as she was fondly called grew up and lived in Hamilton, Ontario and later moved to Nova Scotia.
She is survived by her loving husband Leroy, sons; Neil Barrett of Dartmouth, Kevin (Paula) Barrett of Hamilton, Ontario; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Chelsea, Jacob of Hamilton, Ontario; sisters; Irene and Ellen both of Ontario; brother; Tom of Ontario; also several nieces and nephews; step-daughter Tammy Gray of Halifax and two step – grandchildren Dylan and Dewon; sister-in-law, Beverley of Halifax; brother-in-law, George (Terri), Dartmouth.
She was predeceased by twin brothers Lawrence and Leo Franey and one step-grandson Leroy Gray.
Gerri was a devoted and loyal wife to her husband Leroy,a caring and loving mother to her chldren.
At her request,there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, July 11,2018 at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax, N.S. with Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. Donations in Gerri’s memory can be made to the Diabetes Society,137 Chain Lake Dr., Suite 101, Halifax, N.S. B3S 1B3. Special thanks to Oceanview Nursing Home for their optimum care and compassion.
