OBITUARY
Geraldine Amero
October 27, 1930 – June 24, 2018
Geraldine Mary “Jerry” Amero – Age 87 of Tideview Terrace, Conway, Digby Co. and formerly of Plympton, Digby Co., passed away June 24, 2018 in Tideview Terrace.
Born in River Bourgeois, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Vina (Landry) Richard.
She was employed at the Pines Hotel for many years. Geraldine loved bird watching, wildlife and knitting. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Plympton.
She is survived by daughter, Debbie; sons, Eddie (Jeanette), Doucetteville; Paul (Ann Marie), Concession; sister, Monica (Joseph) Stone, River Bourgeois; Tony Richard, Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren, Russell Robicheau, Plympton; Natasha (Piers) Pappin, Ottawa; great grandson, Milo Pappin, Ottawa.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas “Johnie”; son in-law, Jerry Robicheau, Plympton; sister, Rita Landry; brothers, Egbert, Martin, Leo, Fabie, Alfred, John and Clarence.
No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Wednesday, June 27 from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525). Father Vincent Onyekelu will officiate with burial in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Plympton. Donations in memory can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery or to the charity of your choice.
