Obituary for Gerald Verbeem
Gerald Verbeem, a resident of Riverview Gardens in Chatham passed away peacefully at the CKHA Chatham campus on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the age of 90. Gerald is the son of the late Leonard & Magdalena (Menheere) Verbeem. Beloved husband of the late Laura (Alliett). Loving mother of Angela Andersch of Chatham, Mary Ann Boyle (David) of St. Thomas, Arlene Lauzon (Richard) of Sarnia and Gerry Verbeem (Alberta). Dear grandfather of Jacqueline, Erik, Heather, Tony, Jennifer, Michelle, Tamara, Brian and Brandon and great grandfather of 13 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Bob, Peter, Leonard, Joe, Jack and Albert Verbeem, Nellie Lane and Jane Reynolds. Gerald was a former supervisor at Libbey Glass before retiring in 1988 after 47 years of service. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Wednesday. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Thursday, July 5 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow in Riverview Cemetery.
