SHANKS, GERALD – At Bluewater Health on August 12th, 2018, Gerald (Jerry) Conrad Shanks, age 77 of Corunna passed away. He was the loving husband of Meta (Jensen) Shanks, dear father of Kim Shanks (Marlene), Gerald W. Shanks (Barb), Brenda Peachey (Norm), Carol Hummel (Frank) and Melody Ryan, grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Pete (Jackie) and Robert and his sister Suzie Kosteniuk. Jerry was a retired cement truck driver and was a member of Reflections of Christ Church. Visitation will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., N7T 5W9, Sarnia) on Thursday, August 16th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and again on Friday, August 17th from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
