Vince, Beatrice Georgina (nee Cottingham) —
A resident of Chatham, Georgina passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 90.
Daughter of the late George and Alice Jane (nee Purdy) Cottingham.
Loving wife of the late Robert Allan Vince (2006).
Fondly remembered by sons, Jay Vince (Barb), Kim Vince (Jan), Kerry Vince (Dorothea), and Barry Vince (Tina).
Grandmother to Aaron Vince, Justin Vince (Kelsey), Stacie Gore (Steve), Phylicia Vince (Lucas Simpson), Eric Vince (Jocelyn), Jason Vince, Kathleen Vince, and Heather Vince.
Dear step-grandmother of Aaron Sparks, Adam Sparks, and Shannon Sparks.
Missed by great-grandchildren, Kayden and Avery Vince, the late Landen (2006), Danica and Braelyn Gore-Vince.
Sister of the late Bernadine Masse (the late Edward).
Georgina will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Georgina raised four wonderful sons and always had a very welcoming home. She enjoyed to cook, was an avid reader of Danielle Steel and especially enjoyed decorating for all of the holiday seasons. She was well known for picking out the perfect gift for someone and was always adding her special touches to everything she did. She will be deeply missed by many who knew her.
Family to receive friends at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service in memory of Georgina will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Stewart Cemetery, Merlin.
Donations in memory of Georgina may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
