THIMER, GEORGE JOHN
George John Thimer passed away at Fort Saskatchewan Hospital on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born in Edmonton, AB on November 28, 1927. George leaves his wife of 66 years, Audrey Louise Kunka, his sons, Dale and Barry (Tina), his grandchildren, Bryon (Renee), Kelsey (Jared) great grandson Bennett, his sister Sally (Clarke), former daughter in law Carol Hinz. George was predeceased by his parents Jonathan and Martha, brothers; Edward, Eric, Max, Arthur and Henry, sisters; Elizabeth and Mary.
George will be always remembered for his love for the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took great pride in raising his family on the farm that he and Audrey built.
At George’s request there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memory donations can be made in George’s memory to Rivercrest Care Centre, 10104 101 avenue, Fort Saskatchewan, AB, T8L 2A5.
