OBITUARY
George George Wiebe
26 November , 1926 – 13 May , 2018
George was the son of George William Wiebe and Margaret Wiebe (nee Niebuhr). He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He met Ruby (nee Derksen), the love of his life, and was married on March 1, 1952. He moved to Vancouver in 1950 and lived there until 1969, when the family moved to Burnaby. George lived in Burnaby until 1994, when he and Ruby moved to Abbotsford. George worked for Canadian Kenworth as an engineer for many years. He also worked for Willingdon Church for several years before retiring. George was active in his church for many years, and attended Willingdon Mennonite Brethren Church, and Central Heights Church. He served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, choir member and leader, elder, and Bible Study leader. His love of the Lord was apparent to all who knew him. George is survived by Ruby (his wife of 66 years), his sister Margaret, and his sons Lavern (Ellen) and Roger (Adam), his granddaughter Tara (Matthew) Wofford and great grandchildren Vanessa Renz, Matthew and Mackenzie Wofford. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.
