1954-2018
Gary Douglas Bond, 64, of New Minas, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by his family, Friday, November 16, 2018 in Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was the son of the late Roy
and Marjorie (Benjamin) Bond. Gary was a loving husband,
father, grandfather and friend. He had been employed at Acadia
University for 13 years, later Greenwood and Aldershot military bases
for seven years and retired after 20 years service from the Custodial
Department, Valley Regional Hospital, Chipman Building, Coldbrook. He
is survived by his loving wife, the former Janice Lynn Arnburg; two
sons, Duane (Brianna Beaumont), Kentville, Corey (Amanda Connell), New
Minas; a daughter, Sara (Kesto) Benoit, Middleton; six grandchildren,
Destiny, Trinity, Austin, Isaac, Hallie and Jaxson; a bother, Danny
(Sally), British Columbia; uncle-in-law, Michael (Patty) Kelly, New
Minas; several cousins. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will
take place 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 22, 2018 in the White Family
Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service followed by a
reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2018. Burial
will take place at in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Donations in
memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line condolences and inquiries may
