Obituary for Gary A. Spearman
With his wife by his side on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, GARY SPEARMAN, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 years. Born in Petrolia, Gary spent many years in Harrow. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Linda (nee Turvey). He was a loving father to Heather and Mackenzie King of Ottawa, and grandfather to Owen King. He is also survived by his mother Elizabeth Spearman of Watford, his brother Grant and Corrie Spearman of Truro, Nova Scotia and, a sister Marianne and Herb Krumm of St. Thomas, and his nephew Michael and Jennifer Spearman and their children Ivan and Ethan of Halifax. He was predeceased by his father Ivan (2003) and a brother Dennis (1971). He was also a brother-in-law to John Turvey and Linda Smith of Petrolia and Sandra and Steve Nagora of Kitchener. Gary was a retired research scientist with the Canadian Department of Agriculture. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, London (www.sjhospicelondon.com).
