Obituary Overview
Fred Pisclevich
In February, 2017 Fred suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him with both physical and cognitive impairments. He was hospitalized and for the past 11 months has been the recipient of tremendous support, aid, and compassionate care. Sadly, he was unable to recover and passed away on January 8th, 2018.
He will be forever missed by his wife and best friend Judy, daughters Christy, Lori (Jeff Hollyoake), Marnie (Derek Paul), and his adored grandchildren Tayler, Gavin, Olive, Paige, and Vivian. Brother and sister in laws Frank and Fran Renouf, Richard and Lorna Renouf, Julie Renouf, cousin Verna Rabichuk, loving nieces and nephews, relatives, and many very dear friends.
Fred was predeceased by his parents Olive and Fred, and his brother Tom. Also his in laws Frank and Aline Renouf, George Renouf and nephew David Renouf.
Fred was born and raised in Winnipeg, attended Aberdeen and St. John’s High School where he was best known as Pepsi. He excelled at every sport he played, but most notably was an incredible basketball player.
Fred worked as a pharmaceutical rep for CIBA Geigy/Novartis where he retired after 32 years. He was very well respected in the industry and became good friends with many of the medical professionals he called upon.
Fred and Judy married in 1968, they resided and raised their family in St. Vital. Their greatest days were spent at the home he built at Twin Lakes Beach.
The family would like to thank everyone who supported us this past year. Special thanks to the staff at Riverview TBI rehab unit and Misericordia interim care staff.
A celebration of life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Tuesday January 16th, 2018 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Fred’s memory to the Manitoba Brain Injury Association.
