Fred (Freerk) Weening passed away on March 8th, 2018 shortly after celebrating his 75th birthday.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 12th, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Barrie First Christian Reformed Church, 33 Shirley Avenue, Barrie, ON, L4N 1M8. Join us in celebrating his life at a service on Tuesday, March 13th at 11 am at Barrie First Christian Reformed Church. Reverend Jack Vos will be officiating. Donations can be made on site to Timothy Christian School in lieu of flowers.
Fred was born on February 27, 1943 in Holland to Fred and Ann (Vanderveen) Weening. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 with his parents and eight siblings. On August 12, 1966 he married Maaike (Barrow) in Springdale, Ontario. Fred was a bit of a celebrity in the Kubota world and loved the art of the deal. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, yelling at hockey referees, and spending time with his family.
Fred is survived by his wife Maaike, son Michael (Narda) Weening, son Brad (April) Weening, Shannon (Tom) Ambeau, Jennifer (Oliver) Weening, and many loving siblings, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
