Paralusz, Frank
October 26, 1938 – May 3, 2018
Frank passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 at McNally Hospice in Grimsby in his 80th year with Congestive Heart Failure. Frank had a rare combination of intelligence and integrity. He was a calm and balanced man, friendly, loving and a man of few words. Frank’s one-liners were one of-a-kind.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Loretta Lueloff-Paralusz, Sons Colin (Debra), Todd and their mother Jane Paralusz as well as Step Sons Jeff Lueloff (Laura) and Chad Lueloff (Susanne) and Grand Children Owen, Taylor and Harrison. Frank was the only child of predeceased Stan and Rose Paralusz of Grimsby. He had an optimistic view of the world. He was a long time fruit farmer who also attended Teacher’ s College after high school but then found himself working one summer at The Grimsby Post Office where he stayed on as a clerk for over 40 years. He bought Real Estate on the side. His true passion was reading Danielle Steele Novels, gardening, skiing and cooking pot roast dinners. He loved entertaining his friends in his Garage. Frank was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and ran The White Card Ski Club to Ellicottville for many years. He had a zest for life and enjoyed his overnights at Fallsview Casino. He would leave with the same $20 he came with. He and Loretta travelled extensively to Whistler, Alaska, many Mediterranean Cruises, Iceland, Russia, Berlin, Rome and a Baltic Cruise in 2016. Fall and springtime were spent at their Timeshares in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and winters Skiing in Collingwood, Cross Canada, U.S. road trips and camping in Killbear Provincial Park. He loved visiting the Grandkids in Aurora, On and WhiteRock, BC. Their summers were spent at family cottages near Tatamagouche in Nova Scotia. Frank ‘ s wit and wisdom will be deeply missed by all those who loved him but he will live in our hearts forever. Cremation has taken place at Bayview Crematorium in Burlington. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Ave, Grimsby. A Memorial Reception will follow in the church hall.
