Obituary for Frances Katherine Fedor (Stokes)
The family of Frances “Fran” Fedor (nee Stokes) with sorrow wishes to announce her passing on Monday, December 17, 2018. Fran is survived by her much loved son Kevin Hawkes (Linda) of Wellandport, and much loved daughter and best friend Janet Currie (Harry) of North Pelham, four granddaughters, three great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons and sister-in-law Margaret Kovacs of Elora. She was predeceased by her parents Ken Stokes (1982) and Janet (Carnochan) Stokes (1987), husband John the love of her life (2011) and David Hawkes (2013), several Aunts and Uncles, and two very dear cousins, Eileen (Kenny) (Carnochan) , and David Stokes. Fran was born in Niagara-on-the-lake on March 16, 1932, lived in St. Catharines and graduated from Loretto Academy, Niagara Falls. She later worked in the medical department at Lanark in Dunnville, and medical and personnel departments at Wabasso Welland. Visitation will take place Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the James L. Pedlar Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham St., Fonthill. A second visitation will take place Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 10:00 am at Kirk-on-the-Hill Presbyterian Church, 1344 Haist St., Fonthill followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Highway 20 in Thorold will follow. If desired, memorial donations would be appreciated by the family to the Heart and Stroke Research Foundation.
