Fern Mildred Buechler

BUECHLER, Fern Mildred (nee Goyne)
It is with great sadness that her family announce the passing of their much loved mother on Monday, October 22nd, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, in her 96th year. Fern was married for almost 67 years to her beloved Eric (Tip) who passed away in January 2009. Fern lived a long and rewarding life dedicated to her children and a 26 year service as a secretary in the City Clerks Office, city of Oshawa. Raised in a family of 6 by parents Earl and Flossie Goyne. Predeceased by brother Earl Goyne (Bus) (Jean) and sisters Velma Mahaffy (Allan), Olga Hamilton (Russell) and Earline Keeler (Doug). Survived by her one sister Audrey Hepburn (Myril) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Fern will be dearly missed by her children Jim (Carole), Faye (Ross) and Dan (Irene). Loving Grandma to Tami (Dennis), Mark, Michael (Vicki), Mandy (Paul), Adam (Jennifer) and Chad (Sheena). Beloved great grandmother and great great grandmother to Crystal (Ryan), Alyssa (Albert), Gregory, Katelynn (Tim), Sarah (Chance), Emma, Eric, Gabriel, Briannah, Lauryn, Ava, Austin and Aubree. Fern will also be missed by her extended family Kaitlynn Taylor, Victoria Smyth (Kyle), Carlos Mendoza and Meegan McIlmoyle. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Chris W. Hall for excellent medical care over many years and to the staff on the 2nd floor of the Port Perry Place. Visitation will be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Hwy 2, Courtice on Monday, October 29th from 11:00 until the time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Humane Society of Durham Region or CNIB.
