Mrs. Evelyn Bernier (nee Hopkins)
February 18, 1925 – November 06, 2018
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls at the age of 93.
She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Bernier (1977) and daughter of the late Roy and the late Lyola Hopkins (Berlinghoff).
She will be deeply missed by her children Gloria (Ron) Gibson, Diane (Ralph) Patton, Linda (Doug) Beagan, Ronald (Rose) Bernier, Debbie Bernier and Rita Leigh, her grandchildren Stacey, Karen and Kevin Gibson, Lenny Delaurier, Casey Patton, Darren and Delna Murray, Rachel and Richard Bernier, Alyssa Hoseman and Ryan Garlock and many greatgrandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Gordon (Mary) Hopkins, the late Jean Thomas and Ken Hopkins and sister-in-law of Albert (Rita) Bernier and Jos Bernier (Madeleine McLean).
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Laurie Freeman (June 2011) and her grandson Kyle Hoseman (January 2016).
The interment will be held at the Abitibi Cemetery in the spring of 2019.
